My dear neighbor Mary Lou hosted five of us at her lovely garden to celebrate my birthday! It was a veritable feast of deliciousness with some of my favorite people.
Mary Lou, being English, has the quintessential garden-party garden. Her roses are superb, as is the entire setting. It’s an oasis for birds and squirrels, thanks to the banquet she provides for them: three types of bird feeders, and regular helpings of peanuts.
I feel so fortunate to have neighbors virtually next door who I love spending time with. Several of them are also uber-talented writers, so they provide creative impetus in addition to camaraderie.
